2024-2025 Season Calendar

Rehearsals will be held at Advent Lutheran Church, 1775 E. Market Street, York, PA, 17402 and start promptly at 9:00am.

Strings report at 8:30 for tuning. Percussion reports at 8:15 for set-up. Winds/Brass should be in their seats ready by 8:30

Concert times indicate the start of the performance. Arrival time for musicians will be announced by the conductor at dress rehearsal.

Each member is required to check with his/her school music department for schedule conflicts. All school and personal rehearsal conflicts are to be reported on the YJSO Attendance Google Form. If no conflicts are reported, the YJSO Board and the Conductor understand that no conflicts exist.

All Parent Meetings are mandatory; one or both parents should attend.

Virtually all communication is done via email or REMIND. Be sure to add yjsoboard@gmail.com to your address book. Also check the home page of this web site for news, cancellations and more.

Music in the Parks - Hershey 2025

There will be two rehearsals prior to the Hershey Adjudicated performance.

  • Saturday, April 12; 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM MANDATORY HERSHEY REHEARSAL

  • Saturday, April 19; NO REHEARSAL (Easter Weekend)

Please note: Snow make-up days can be used as extra-rehearsals (if not needed to make up a cancelled rehearsal due to bad weather) at the conductor's discretion.
